We thank God for the interestingly diverse culture that we are so richly graced with here at Tremont Presbyterian Church for it truly represents the diversity of our Bronx Community. Tremont is marching on the upward way and we welcome you to consider making this your home Church. God bless you!
To evangelize to those who do not know Jesus as their Lord and personal Savior, to foster fellowship within the Church family and the Community, to minister to, and prepare the congregation to do God's work.
To preach and share the good news of the kingdom of God to all mankind, bringing together all God's children regardless of race, color or ethnicity; make disciples of God, through baptism in the name of the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to follow the commandments of God: equipping ourselves to building up the body of Christ, unity of Faith, and knowledge of the Son of God, measuring the stature of the fullness of Christ; and never cease meeting, carrying each other's burdens and encouraging one another with God's help.
Bible Text: Matthew 28:18-20
Then Jesus came and said, "...Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything i have commanded you. And surely i am with you always, to the very end of age." (NIV)
Keeping in mind the purpose of God's Church, we welcome all of God's children despite age, race and color or ethnicity, to be baptized, and to learn and mature in the word of God, by worshiping the Father in spirit and in truth. We further strive to minister to the Community, through evangelism, service and example, and through magnification of our one and only Fatherin heaven, feeding the hungy, clothing the needy, and praying for the sick and afflicted.
Bible Text: John 4:23 | Matthew 25:35-40 | Luke 4:43
We strive to reconcile ourselves with God, by learning and obeying His commandments, by thinking of ourselves with somber judgment, in accordnace with the measure of faith God has given to us, we endeavor to win souls for the kingdom of God, by using our God given talents to prophesy, serve, teach, encourage, and exemplify ourselves in the Community, the Church family, in our homes, and to all mankind.
